Parent Involvement

Parents provide valuable service to our school. We believe they are an important part of our school's success. Through the parent involvement, parents have the opportunity to meet each other and build community. Additionally, our school gains access to talents and abilities that we would otherwise have to fund.

The Parents Club promotes parent participation and provides revenue from fundraising efforts. As parents of St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School students we each need to be instrumental in making this school the best it can be for our Children.

Energetic volunteers are needed for school events to be successful. All parents are encouraged to take parts in this vibrant community. When you get involved you not only support St. Francis, but you also feel a little more a part of your child/children’s school experience.

Volunteer opportunities, large and small, are listed in various sections on this Web site. You can also find opportunities by reading each bi-monthly family newsletter (Gubbio Gazette), checking our school's bulletin board and reading various e-mails sent throughout the year from our Parent Club and School Advisory Commission. Mission

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School is dedicated to living the Gospel values. Our Franciscan, academically challenging curriculum teaches and supports students in becoming contributing members of their communities.

Philosophy

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School, an educational ministry of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, strives to create a Franciscan environment which serves the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs of our students. Understanding that parents are the primary educators of their children, the staff’s vocation is to inspire and facilitate learning. Together, we instill Catholic Christian values and traditions in our children.
