Parent Involvement

Parents provide valuable service to our school. We believe they are an important part of our school's success. Through the parent involvement, parents have the opportunity to meet each other and build community. Additionally, our school gains access to talents and abilities that we would otherwise have to fund.

The Parents Club promotes parent participation and provides revenue from fundraising efforts. As parents of St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School students we each need to be instrumental in making this school the best it can be for our Children.

Energetic volunteers are needed for school events to be successful. All parents are encouraged to take parts in this vibrant community. When you get involved you not only support St. Francis, but you also feel a little more a part of your child/children’s school experience.

Volunteer opportunities, large and small, are listed in various sections on this Web site. You can also find opportunities by reading each bi-monthly family newsletter (Gubbio Gazette), checking our school's bulletin board and reading various e-mails sent throughout the year from our Parent Club and School Advisory Commission. If you are not on our email list currently and would like to receive notification of volunteer opportunities, please submit your email address below.

The Prayer of Saint Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is doubt, faith;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled,
As to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
