Dear Prospective Parent,
Thank you for your interest in St. Francis
of Assisi Elementary School. First of all, I
am delighted that you are considering
entrusting your child’s spiritual, academic,
and emotional growth to us. I speak for the
entire staff when I say, “We are honored!”
Our Catholic faith and traditions define who
we are, yet children from all faiths are
welcome to join our school family. We follow
our Acts of Courtesy and
Schoolwide Learning Expectations which
encompass our goals for our students. We
strive to assist each student in becoming
spiritual, academic, respectful, confident,
and responsible members of our world.
As a student in our
transitional-kindergarten through eighth
grade Catholic school, your child will not
just receive religious curriculum
instruction, but will also experience and
live Gospel values throughout the day.
Academically, we are committed to
maintaining the highest level of excellence,
preparing our students for high school and
life-long success, while never losing sight
that every child learns differently. In
addition to our standard subjects, our
outstanding general curriculum also includes
Performing Arts, Music, Spanish, Italian,
PE, Technology, and Library. Some of our
extracurricular activities include Academic,
Religion and Math Decathlon teams, Student
Council, Choir, after school clubs and
sports programs. We also offer a wonderful
before and after school Extended Day program
which meets the needs of most of our working
parents.
We will begin accepting applications for the
2013-14 school year for new students and
families on January 7, 2013, and will
continue to accept them through February 8,
2013.
Applications may be downloaded from our
website, or you may call the school office
to have one mailed to you.
Please join us for our annual Open House
on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from
11:00am-12:30pm. Please continue to
check the various
links
of information on our website. If there are
any questions you may have, I invite you to

| | | The Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is doubt, faith; And where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, As to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
